This position is in charge of demand planning process. Responsible for S&OP process implementation keeping in mind future transformation to IBP. Keep records and statistical data of demand in order to enrich rolling forecast at family and SKU level. Brings all inputs and insights to the Demand process for better forecasting building and making the process sustainable and predictable. Implement collaborative model where possible with key customers.

Forecast follow-up, monthly reviews & feedback (promotions/campaigns, special events, etc.); create history based statistical forecasting by Product Groups/SKUs, history cleansing, Management/Market intelligence inputs or reviews; new products /Phase-in/out inclusion into forecasts/demand plans, forecast compilation / Forecast distribution, review forecast consumption with order books, identify coming demand over forecast product portfolio, review abnormal demand and implement actions to minimize impact. Constantly monitor gap analysis (fcst vs actual/budget) and follow up. Demand netting for stock on hand. Monitor Forecast Accuracy & BIAS and manage opportunities. Use standard tools for demand planning as defined with the Demand leadership. Following S&OP process, leading the Demand Plannng for Livestock Category through Latam Region(Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica & Peru). Main responsabilities include close communication and relation with Supply Planning, Plant Operations team, Petfood demand planner, customer service, pricing and FP&A.

Owns SKU rationalization process by coordinating Marketing, Sales and Finance for decision making. Highly involved with the Innovation process, promotions, in-out products. Follow metrics and reports accordingly; establish improvement plans to increase performance. This includes assisting in the development, implementation and maintance of systems and template indicators like Innovation measurement, forecast accuracy, obsolete products. Early detect abnormal demand and call for an action in order to avoid Customer Service impact. May interact with other enterprises to synergy plants capacity and materials in order to ensure optimization of Cargill goods in the region.

Acts as a link between Supply Chain and Commercial team to assure product availability, inventories, promotions delivery, control feasibility of demand and Supply while taking care of profitable demand.

Principal Accountabilities:

70%Demand Planning process. Create, develop, implement, and maintain demand planning models, best practices, tools, templates, and processes. This includes performance scorecards, metrics reporting, and value capture/measurement tracking tools. Implementation of S&OP as a key success for this role. High level of planning, anticipation, statistical, commercial activities recording and communication is required to keep process ever green.Collaborate with other functions to maximize the insights and inputs to enrich the process. Use of demand tools are critical. Review and monitor actual sales (demand), identify unsatisfied demand or excess of inventory. Be involved on process like innovation, in-out products, promotions, customer marketing, reduce or promote obsolete SKUs.

20%Integrate with Product line managers, Field Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Supply Planning to achieve effective allocation of products by combining sales forecasting information and product inventory availability to identify mismatches and drive trade-off decisions based on profitability, strategic opportunity and other factors

10%Enhance Demand Planning culture: this includes planning, organizing, coordinating, and collaborating with internal resources within project timelines and scope to achieve project goals.Provide representative knowledge and expertise of business requirements and feedback to assist in the improvement of the process. Support/enable the CFN Latam strategy related to S&OP and SKU Rationalization strategy.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Supply Chain.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in demand planning & use of demand planning tools: Forecast pro, Tableau.

  • Fluent English and Spanish

  • Superior Capacity of analysis and problem solving as well as strategic thinking.

  • Demonstrated strong customer focus

  • Ability to understand business and technology; strong conceptual skillsRequired

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills – Pursue and reinforce collaboration. The ability to manage process and cultural changes within the organization will be critical to this role
