Regional Operations Manager

Develops and provides strategic leadership for production operations in CQN North LATAM. Provides plant operations leadership to specific business operation units relating to EH&S, Quality, Personnel, Productivity, Plant improvements, program and process implementation and integration. Has a key role in business improvement activities and participates on the North LATAM leadership team.
50% Direct accountability for the results of the plant operations, including, but not limited to: personnel, safety, quality, housekeeping, maintenance, Custoimer Service and costs in the region. Oversee and make decisions for OEE, Model Mill approvals, accident investigation reporting, plant staffing. Acts as key advisor on base capital spending. Ensures government regulation compliance, for FDA, OSHA, EPA, etc. Region consists of multiple plants.
25% Member of regional leadership team; partners with CAN operations in development and deployment of strategies in the plant operations arena. Acts as expert advisor to Plant Managers in processes and programs. Input for new business development and acquisitions/right sizing. Leadership on World Class level attainment for the plant and region.
25% Talent Management and Development. Provides regular and timely coaching to team members. Motivates for high performance and excellence. Provides an environment that supports personal growth and development for regional operations employees.
Ability to travel 30 – 40% to various plant locations and business meetings.
Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, etc.
Exposure to internal/external environmental conditions – heat, cold, dust, etc.
Exposure to loud noise from plant equipment
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or other related field or equivalent commensurate experience
Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in successful plant management operations with multiple locations.
Ability to solve complex problems through innovation, collaboration, creativity and determination
Demonstrated experience in all areas of production operations including quality control, construction, logistics and production.
Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
Experience in the Aqua, ag or feed industry, or food industry
Knowledge of food safety requirements
