Position Purpose

To lead the South and East Europe Feed Ingredients sales team in the path for growth and support of the Nutrition business, while growing and developing own customers portfolio. Part of the Management team for Feed Ingredients Europe, needs to develop and articulate the Strategy for the Business and manage the positions of the several Ingredients in accordance with the Commodities risk limits.

Principal Accountabilities


  • Develop and implement a compelling long term Commercial strategy for Ingredient sales in South and East Europe, capitalizing on the existing market share and structure and ensuring proper growth in new areas.

  • Provide Leadership to the South and East Europe Sales team, ensuring application of Sales best practices and tools, providing adecuate coaching and development and hold team accountable for performance.

  • Ensure alignement with the CPN Nutrition business, Global Ingredient Sales and RMS Strategies and ensuring proper fit with long term business goals.

Identify and pursue opportunities of cross collaboration with other Cargill’s Groups, as well as other Functions.


  • Actively look for key customer solutions in their search for their risk management-, supply chain-, financial- and nutrients-needs.

  • Identity Business Growth opportunities with new products or services, new target markets, or new customers.

  • Ensure deployment of Commercial strategy with asigned key customers and prospects to meet growth targets.


  • Participate on setting Strategy to drive business growth and alignment with core Nutrition Business.

  • Participate on strategic pricing tactics to extract most value of the available products and positions.

  • Provide input on purchasing decisions and pipeline filling.


  • Provide meaningful Ingredient markets intelligence on available prices and business activity to stakeholders, e.g. Global RMS, Local RMS, Feed Ingredients team, etc.

  • Actively participate in Pricing/RMS meetings to provide market input.

  • Provide market reports to selected customers.


  • Minimum of 5 year Trading experience in Feed ingredients

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Desirable additional Languages.

  • willing to travel to customers and team members

  • Combination of Conceptual and practical thinking in search for customer solutions

  • Business Administration and/or Agricultural related education

  • 5 years Trading experience in Feed ingredients

  • Business acumen with excellent negotiation skills

  • Commitment to Serve and Customer Focus

  • Pragmatic and solutions driven.

  • Ability to establish networks both internaly and outside the company

  • Basic Animal Nutritional knowledge

  • Active experience in supply chain of Agricultural commodities

  • Strategic thinking
