Position Purpose & Summary:
Responsible in a specific region for deployment and management of all Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) systems across multiple businesses in the enterprise to ensure alignment with strategic and tactical plans including: continuous improvement of FSQR processes and systems, developing and implementing FSQR policies, ensuring connectivity and collaboration between businesses and functions, talent management, directing management of the overall external FSQR environment including customer, supplier and regulatory interfaces at the leadership level for the region in the enterprise.
Key member of the enterprise FSQR leadership team.
30% Direct regional deployment, management and continuous improvement for all FSQR systems across multiple businesses in the region. Will be aligned with regional projects cascading and guareenting corporate initiatives are also deployed at the local level.
20% Direct FSQR organization across manufacturing facilities for multiple businesses in the enterprise region (South Asia) for interpretation and implementation of FSQR policies, regulatory, customer and supplier standards. Responsible to ensure connectivity and collaboration between businesses and to mediate and resolve FSQR issues in the region (i.e. incidents).
15% Leads talent management, performance management and leadership development of FSQR employees in the region to enable an overall business perspective and acumen of the FSQR employees in the region to ensure a deep bench of FSQR talent.
10% Responsible to ensure structure/resources and systems are in place to achieve short and long term management of the external FSQR regulatory environment in coordination and collaboration with other enterprise and corporate Functions such as SMT, RMS, Law, and Corporate Affairs in the region.
10% Responsible for being a focal point on complex FSQR customer issues within the region and coordinate regionally on external facing FSQR issues for all businesses in the region.
10% Assist with creation and direct regional implementation of both long range (strategic) and short range (tactical) FSQR plans for the enterprise in alignment with enterprise and Cargill business objectives. Collaborate with FSQR peers.
5% Other duties as assigned
Intermediate Food Safety and Quality Auditing/Compliance - Applies auditing/quality compliance skills to identify & manage risks/compliance.
Intermediate HACCP Knowledge/Implementation - Applies HACCP to identify and control food safety hazards.
Intermediate Customer Specifications Management - Interfaces effectively with customers; ensures products meet customer specifications; answers questions and solves customer problems.
Advanced Plant Manufacturing Quality Knowledge - Demonstrates practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations.
Intermediate Business Acumen - Applies deep and practical business acumen to partner effectively with business counterparts.
Intermediate Knowledge of Food Laws & Regulations - Stays up-to-date and ensures compliance with food laws and regulations. Should work closely to feed industry associations into the region.
Intermediate Supplier Quality Assurance - Identifies and addresses supplier quality issues as well as different risks on production chain.
Intermediate Managing and Improving FSQR Processes - Delivers processes that are aligned, effective, and optimize Cargill resources.
Intermediate Project Management - Applies a structured, disciplined approach to planning, administering and completing projects successfully.

Basic Scientific Knowledge - Applies scientific knowledge, principles to identify and manage risks.

Basic Risk Assessment - Conducts and communicates the results of a scientific evaluation of the known or potential adverse health effects resulting from human or animal exposure to food borne hazards.
Basic Knowledge of Quality Standards & Quality Tools - Applies knowledge of quality standards and tools to enhance food safety and quality.
BS Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Animal Science or related field
Advanced degree in an area directly relevant to Food or Feed Safety
International Experience – Ability to achieve results in a global environment with diverse groups of people
Managerial Experience in a Plant Environment
