Position Purpose

This position will enable the data and analysis capabilities for multiple business units within Food Ingredients and Bio Industrials. The role will actively partner with business stakeholders to solve problems through data and the application of reporting and analysis tools. The role requires an Analyst skilled in the use of data and technology for reporting and analysis. The role will create and deliver data sets, metrics, reports, dashboards and insights for the organization. The role works with business stakeholders to address current initiatives and future opportunities to advance the use of data and analysis for the enterprise.

Principal Accountabilities

40% Analyze and Deliver New Reports: Working directly with business stakeholders across all functions, the BI Analyst will evaluate business requirements and develop BI solutions. Strong communication skills are required to solicit the requirements and communicate with non-technical business stakeholders effectively.

40% Development of Technical Solutions: Responsible for development of technical solutions needed in order to provide an effective and efficient data and analysis solution that can support the business. Through knowledge of data structures, ability to join/integrate tables in order to provide the necessary data for analytics and/or reporting.

10% BI Reporting Governance and Process Improvement: The BI Analyst will be responsible for the governance (standards and documentation) of solutions developed. The Analyst will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to catalogue, streamline and improve data and analysis solutions.

10% Provide coaching and training to Analysts across the business on the use of data / analysis / reporting tools. Helping analysts utilize the tools in the most efficient and effective manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant business experience

  • Experience with reporting, business intelligence, database querying and data warehousing technology and concepts

  • Demonstratedanalytical and decision making skills

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and take partners to understand the business context

  • Experience with helping stakeholders with using data and reporting to solve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative

  • Strong Microsoft Tools experience including Excel, Access

P r efer r ed Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Management, MIS, or Computer Science

  • Certification in Microsoft platform (Access, Excel, Visio, Sharepoint)

  • 1 to 2years experience in a BI/Reporting or Data Analyst role

  • Work experience in a line of business and/or within IT function

  • SAP experience

  • SQL, Business Objectsexperience

  • Microsoft Power BI, Tableau

  • Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and identify data patterns, trends and risks

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn

  • Proven ability to behave in accordance withCargill values and ethics [internal only]
