The Procurement Process and Data Lead (PPDL)leads the effort to define business/function requirements, implements improved business processes and data quality, ensures successful deployment of new ERP systems and enhancements, manages system, process, and data testing, manages training of system users for their designated area, and assists with functional stabilization efforts. The PPDL will report to the Data and Technology Lead in the Cargill Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (CSSP)COE, while also working closely with the Data Network Lead for the Cargill Starches, Sweeteners and Texturizers North America (CSSTNA) SAP Deployment.The ability to develop an understanding of interdependencies across Process Areas and integrating with the Data Network and Target Architecture is a critical skill for success in this role. The primary focus is to lead the Indirect Material Purchasing and Vendor Payment implementation, and progress to management of ongoing SAP continuous improvement and stabilization initiatives and value realization projects. This role requires significant collaboration and teamwork within CSSTNA and our CSSP COE, with our value chain partner BU’s in the Food Ingredients and Bio-industrial (FIBI) enterprise, and with Global IT.The PPDL will lead efforts through the stabilization phase of the project – ensuring that the technology, process, and data quality are aligned with business needs.
50% - Project Leader Role - Lead implementation of system and process deployment for PRTP workstream. Responsibilities include: completing business/function readiness activities in preparation for formal project execution, documenting business specific knowledge and gathering business requirements, validating system configuration, processes, and data meet business and functional needs, accessing and building non-system enabled business processes, ensuring functionality is appropriately tested and trained, and the business is successfully stabilized with the new systems. The lead will be responsible for giving work direction and guiding contract resources that will be onsite/remote working through data cleansing, conversion and mapping activities. Ensures consistent implementation of system configuration and processes throughout the organization that are reviewed and approved by Process Sponsors.
20% - PRTP Process and Data Management – Ensure alignment between business, function, and technology process requirements – for indirect materials and vendor master data; maintain oversight of decisions and process related to data conversion activities – be able to assist with data mapping initiatives from ASAP to SAP. The team utilizes SAP, SAP Ariba, and Sparesfinder to manage data and ensure process adherence – all data conversion and mapping activities will have to align with tool/process/data requirements. By understanding these tools and processes, the lead will have opportunities to connect business clients with other businesses, functions or external companies to drive best practices and share knowledge across Cargill – especially as it relates to vendor master setup, material master workflow, and price updates across multiple systems. Enable the business/function processes in alignment with the global and regional COE, Business Units, and CSSP strategies and integrated roadmaps that maximize value capture.
15% - Project Planning & Control - Regularly measures and monitors project progress to identify variances from the plan and make needed corrections for implementation. Contains and resolves issues within the project that do not require Project Sponsor attention. Defines deployment objectives and scope utilizing expert knowledge of project management practices and procedures. Develops the Integrated Project Plan. Ensure organizational readiness and commitment to ongoing enhancements, optimization and value realization activities.
15%- Support Value Realization Activities : Lead efforts in collaboration with the BIM, CSSP COE, and Process Sponsors which deliver value from system (people, process, data, and technology) improvements. Implement, maintain and communicate metrics to track solution stabilization and value captured through optimization initiatives.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of equivalent experience in a similar role
5 years of experience in material procurement and vendor payment management or related field; supply chain
Master Data Management experience – understanding of core indirect material master and vendor master data, specifically as they relate to process and technology requirements
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Previous experience leading project work in large scale projects and change management initiatives
Strong understanding of Procure to Pay (P2P) process; SAP Process/Data; SAP Ariba Process/Data; Sparesfinder
Strong analytical skills; capable of breaking down complex issues and identifying key drivers; can identify cross process upstream and downstream impacts
Proven ability to lead, coach, facilitate, and communicate with individuals across a broad range of education, experience, and functional spectrums.
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Access, PowerPoint)
Experience with ERP systems – SAP/ASAP/JDE
Project management/PPM experience
Advanced knowledge of procurement and payment work processes and systems
Very strong ability and appetite to learn and apply new concepts
