Cargill is developing a new corporate university designed to provide world class learning and education curriculums aligned to the critical skills and capabilities needed to execute Cargill’s new Strategic Direction. The Corporate University will be comprised of three Colleges: College of Leadership & Managerial Excellence College of Business & Commercial Excellence College of Functional & Operational Excellence.
As the Sr. Curriculum Lead for Manager Development, you will play a critical role within the College of Leadership & Managerial Excellence. The ideal candidate possesses deep domain expertise and strong proficiency with digitally enabled learning methods, simulations and creative design thinking.
This position will be accountable for leading and managing the development of Cargill’s next generation of high impact manager development programs, curriculums, processes and tools that are directly aligned to building great people managers at Cargill. This position reports to the Global L&D Manager for the College of Leadership & Managerial Excellence and will manage multiple external learning partners, consultants and vendor partners. This position will work with multiple peers and stakeholders to achieve results oriented and outcome driven leadership development strategies and curriculums.
50% Global learning and education design strategies and curriculum development. Establish curriculum and design blueprints based on Cargill’s new leadership development strategy and focus on building highly effective people managers.
Source and lead managerial curriculum design and development projects using internal and external program designers, internal subject matter experts and/or identifying external industry expert partners. Apply best practice global curriculum design methods to ensure content flexibility and ease of localization.
20% Internal and external relationship management. Manage 3rd party consulting partners & partnerships ensuring they are knowledgeable of Cargill’s industries and business environments, understand our vision for managerial effectiveness. Manage senior executive sponsors & corporate SME partnerships.
20% Build awareness, knowledge and capabilities in key HR constituent groups Partner with broader HR organization to ensure understanding of manager development needs as well as HR’s understanding of Cargill’s curriculums and learning solutions. Consult and advise regional HR solutions delivery teams that are responsible for supporting delivery (deployment) and/or implementing localized programs and solutions in various geographies across the globe. Regular effective communications to build understanding of high impact manager learning and development strategies and programming.
10% Evaluation, Impact Assessment and Continuous Improvement Support processes to implement program impact and evaluation measures. Quality assurance oversight for the manager development processes Continuous improvement, refinement and refresh of best practice curriculums, learning solution design and content.
Relocation will not be provided for this position.
The position may be able to be based remotely, with ideal candidate being in close proximity to airport due to some travel.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Human Resource, Learning/ adult educational field
Minimum 10 years business experience
Minimum 7 years experience focused on manager development strategies and curriculum design; highly
Knowledgeable about industry best practices, methods and partners, of which 3 years have been focused on global programs
Ability to lead virtual, global project teams
Self starter, creative and innovative, comfortable with digital learning methods and approaches
Business credible and articulate communication style
Demonstrated conceptual strength and strategic thinking skills to create a vision
Solid leadership skills and ability to interact with senior level leaders
Possesses broad perspective and applies a business value approach to learning and development
Experience identifying, managing and partnering with 3rd party resources
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and measure program effectiveness and value
Strong cultural awareness and experience in working with diverse teams
Strong interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
MS Office, Skype or other cloud/web based meeting interaction tools, SharePoint
Master's degree, preferably in related field such as Organizational Learning, Leadership Development, Adult Learning
15 years business experience
Working within a corporate university structure
Experience working with competency models, assessments and curriculum alignment
Budget and project management
