This position operates as a Tax Analyst. The Tax Analyst will be a member of Cargill’s Domestic Income Tax Group and will have specific, assigned responsibilities related to Cargill’s federal and state tax compliance responsibilities. Responsibilities will include preparation of assigned federal & state tax returns, quarterly tax provisions, and assigned federal and state audit inquiries.
70% Prepare federal & state Income/Franchise tax returns, extensions and quarterly estimates, as well as ASC740 quarterly & year end provisions and deferred tax calculations
20% Researching & responding to information requests from federal & state auditors
5% Responding to business group inquiries
5% Special projects related to tax planning and process improvement initiatives
Relocation will not be provided for this position.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area with a minimum final GPA of 3.0
6 months or more of tax compliance experience preparing U.S. Federal and State Income tax filings
The desire and aptitude to learn complex federal and state tax rules
Superior analytical skills
Ability to prioritize many tasks, results oriented, self-starter
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Motivation to work within a high-performing team environment
Experience with US GAAP ASC740 accounting for corporate income taxes
CorpTax Software experience
Experience with LongView Tax Provision Software
