Cargill’s European poultry business is a leading supplier of food products to retail, foods service and food manufacturing customers in both European and global markets.

The position holder will be responsible for efficiently training and reviewing all employees to ensure skills levels are maintained to meet the daily production requirements. This will involve keeping in line with changing production needs, efficiently writing, reviewing and amending site standard operating procedures and providing flexibility and cooperation within the training team.

Whilst this position includes working days of Monday to Friday and the flexibility to support occasional nights and weekends is required, for which time off in lieu will be provided.

Main Tasks

  • Assist training coordinator in developing task procedures to a standard format

  • Continually review accuracy and relevance of task procedures and assessments in line with changing production requirements

  • Utilise training aids for employees to meet appropriate standards during one-to-one (hands-on) and training sessions

  • Complete training review requests and projects to confirmed deadlines as agreed with first-line management, effectively communicating results, ensuring optimum communication chain

  • Maintain accurate individual and department training records and update databases

  • Work collaboratively with team leaders to set training plans for new hires, monitoring and observing new recruits during their 12-week induction programme to support training needs

  • Develop knowledge and skills in the process, equipment and machinery to be able to undertake training and development activities which support the business needs, staff-development and productivity
