Manufacturing Technology Engineer
As a member of an enterprise-wide group of technical experts consisting of engineers, chemists, and research scientists, with the goal of continuous improvement, the Process Development group engineers provides leadership with a technical and engineering focus to the Manufacturing Technology Groups priorities. This role also includes business case development for multiple projects across the area of expertise. Development, analysis, interpretation and utilization of data and information during project inception, and execution are important activities of this job. The Manufacturing Technology engineer provides direction for the department aligned with the achievement of the site business plan, Manufacturing Technology business plan, R&D, and other function goals. The person in this role is responsible for continuous improvement in their department. This position also includes the utilization of continuous improvement (CI) tools including statistical analysis, optimization, as well as facilitation of Kaizen events. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to others.
Managing and execution of global energy and water policy on local level:
- Designing and tracking KPI’s:
- Creating KPI’s
- Keeping KPI documentation
- Progress visualization
Managing Sustainability Campaign
Support Energy and Water reduction program
Spreading awareness of energy and water policy to reduce production costs
- Optimizing plants energy efficiency through:
- Leading programs aiming spreading knowledge through whole team and collecting improvement ideas
- Encouraging multidepartment improvement initiatives
Supporting CI initiatives (e.g. StableOPS) in data and statistics area
Preparing and leading Kaizen events
Managing energy and water projects roadmap
Managing CAPEX energy and water improvement projects
Supporting other projects:
- Calculating baselines and paybacks
- Preparing mass and energy balances
- Calculating capacities, efficiencies of equipment
- Process modeling
- Support Utility ASI:
- Work monitoring of Boiler House, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Compressed Air Station work and Cooling water installation.
Develop knowledge about installation: Boiler House, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Compressed Air Station and Cooling water
Spreading and applying knowledge through organization:
- Cooperating with central team
- Importing suitable ideas
- Sharing knowledge
Preparing SOP’s for new or modified installations
Conducting trainings for operators
Develop the possibilities of statistical analysis
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biosystems Engineering or other engineering discipline that has a strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mass/material balance and process design.
Minimum 1-3 years of production or engineering experience.
Demonstrated ability to influence others and work with multifunctional teams and personnel.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and communicate goals, objectives and accomplishments to a broad audience.
Understanding of plant processes and operational needs.
Good prioritization and time management skills.
Skilled in Lean - preferred.
Communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
Strong technical aptitude.
